Giotto in the Scrovegni Chapel<\/h2>\n\n

Here lies one of the greatest Italian and European artistic masterpieces of the 14th century.In this complete collection of frescoes by Giotto in his prime, you will be able to admire his unique style, which revolutionised the language of Western art.<\/p>\n\n

Mantegna and Guariento in the Eremitani church <\/h2>\n\n

This church, built at the end of the 13th century and the first few years of the 14th century as home to the Order of Saint Augustine, faced substantial damage during the bombings of 1944 and later was reconstructed to its original design. Even though parts have been lost, inside you will be able to admire frescoes by Andrea Mantegna in the Ovetari chapel and those in the apse chapel by the painter Guariento.<\/p>\n\n

Giusto de\u2019 Menabuoi in the Duomo baptistery<\/h2>\n\n

Here you will find the splendid series of frescoes by Giusto de\u2019 Menabuoi, one of the defining artists of the 14th century.The grand Paradiso in the dome is breath-taking: hundreds of saints arranged in concentric circles, set around the figure of Christ Pantocrator and the Madonna.<\/p>\n\n

Giovan Battista Tiepolo in the church of S. Massimo<\/h2>\n\n

A slightly secluded church, that contains a surprise for those who go inside: three splendid altarpieces painted between 1742 and 1745 by Giovan Battista Tiepolo, in the peak of his popularity. <\/p>\n\n
